Inside Sales Engineer, EXHEAT Process Heat India Pvt Ltd

This role is based within our India office.

Qualifications:

Minimum Recognised Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or related field

Experience:

3 years Sales & Engineering Experience

Knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry preferred but not essential

Job Details:

The role as Sales Engineer involves constantly developing new market/services for the company and providing Technical Sales Support to EXHEAT Industrial sales team. The candidate should be passionate about technical sales and working with customers, self-motivated and excellent in using Microsoft office to generate reports and presentation on sales activities.

This is an India based position with occasional travel required.  Training will take place at the UK office over a period yet to be defined.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

•             To learn and fully understand the full Standard Product range

•             To understand our internal proposal design sheet, costing and heating calculations

•             Working towards building relationships with existing customers within specific regions/industries

•             All business development within regions including some cold calling potential prospects

•             Arrange and visit existing customers and potential prospects to present company and products and investigate potential leads

•             Track global Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects originating within regions/industries or with regional influences

•             Focus to be spent on maximizing potential electric heater business with OEM’s and other related packagers throughout the Middle East & India.

•             Research new leads, markets, applications

•             Attending industry exhibitions throughout Europe

•             You will take customer enquiries via email/telephone, review them, and specify the correct heating equipment for the applications

•             In time compile quotations and negotiate orders

•             Follow up and monitor quotation status with customers

•             In time will be able to resolve technical queries with customers

•             Produce monthly sales and activity report

•             Enter new customers onto the database and carry out routine customer and quotation follow up’s

•             Work with the Managers to define and implement strategic growth plans for specific regions

•             Ensure all quotations meet customer requirements, and comply with all EXHEAT specifications and regulations

 

 

The Employee shall devote the whole of his/her time, attention, and skill to his/her duties hereunder and in addition such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required of him/her for the proper and efficient running of the Employer’s business.

 

 

Key skills:

 

  • We are looking for an excellent technical salesperson with a proven sales record.
  • You must be enthusiastic, ambitious, dynamic, self -motivated and have an appetite to succeed.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and common sense are a must.
  • Technical product sales experience is essential preferably in an external sales role.
  • Should have previous account management experience
  • Should have effective communication skills to work closely with senior management and technical people as well as the ability to respond to detailed questions from customers
  • Ability to effectively negotiate with clients and position as a differentiated product provider.
  • Must have good analytical skills.
  • Tenacious approach to expanding sales
  • Foreign languages and Exposure to Hazardous Area Certification would be an advantage
