Trainee QC Inspector, EXHEAT Industrial Ltd
This role is responsible to the QA & Compliance Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The final inspection of outgoing products, including but not limited to the demonstrative testing against customer specification, high voltage testing and resistance measuring.
- The holiday cover for the inspection of incoming products
- To undertake internal Reference checking / calibration of equipment to meet QMS requirements.
- To facilitate the provision of externally supplied calibration testing of internal equipment. Ensuring all items are always calibrated.
- To use the MRP system to process and record inspection passes/failures and using office programs to log failures for review/reporting.
- To facilitate the transition of ‘warranty claim’ work through the business.
- To work in accordance with the Quality and Health & Safety Management systems meeting the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001.
- Other duties as required by the QA & Compliance Manager.
Skills required:
- knowledge / experience of the inspection of electrical / mechanical products used within an Oil and Gas/ Petro-chemical / Pharmaceutical environment.
- a thorough understanding and use of standard measuring equipment.
- an ability to read engineering drawings.
- knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs is essential (full training on AX Dynamics (MRP) will be given)
- a strong desire to be part of a developing team that makes a difference.
- a keen eye for detail.
Key Interfaces:
- QA & Compliance Manager: To report to the QA & Compliance Manager on issues found during the day to day testing.
- Engineers: Liaise with Engineering staff relating to issues arising from inspections and testing.
- Production: Resolving any issues or technical queries to ensure production assembly is smooth and unhindered. Communicating with the shop floor supervisor to get any issues resolved in a timely manner.
